My Go-To Travel Resources
Dreaming about your next destination is exciting, but actually organizing it can be intimidating. Let me help you get started. By using some of my favorite (and well-used) resources listed below, you’re guaranteed to be one step closer to a smooth travel planning process- and who doesn’t love smooth sailing??
here we go!
Flights
Google Flights
- Google fights is my jam! It’s one of the most comprehensive flight search tools out there. I always start my airfare search here & then compare it to other websites to make sure I’ve found the best option.
Hopper
- This user-friendly website monitors airfare and hotel prices of your choice and notifies you of any price drops or deals. They even have an app!
ITA Matrix
- ITA Matrix is the bees-knees of flight searches. It’s the software many travel agencies and airlines use. This search tool gives a more comprehensive search result than other search engines.
Sky Scanner
- Skyscanner shows the cheapest flight options available so you can find the best airfare deal. This is a great option for travelers on a budget.
Accommodations
AirBnb
- If hotels aren’t your thing, Airbnb is a great option. Airbnb has a wide variety of accommodation types as well as price points making it a good resource for everyone.
Free Camp Sites
- Free Camp Sites is my favorite website for finding campsites. It uses your phone’s GPS to provide campsites nearby or a searched area in the US. It even provides reviews & coordinates of the campgrounds themselves.
Hostelworld
- Staying in a hostel is a lot cheaper than a hotel, therefore, using Hostelworld is a great option. Hostelworld has millions of reviews on thousands of hostels around the world to pick from.

Transportation
Rome2Rio
- Rome2Rio is an awesome website for planning your travel routes. It provides transportation options including bus, train, plane, or boat, and the cost of each.

Enterprise
- When renting a car, we almost always book through Enterprise. They provide competitive pricing compared to other rental companies in the area.
Planning an Itinerary
Pinterest
- Pinterest is my favorite website to get inspiration from for an upcoming trip, and I always start my planning here! You can find anything from itineraries to packing guides for your destination, making it a helpful resource when it comes to planning.
