hello! i’m sarah
wife, cat mom, adventure enthusiast
Welcome to In Her Suitcase! This is my little creative outlet of a blog space where I share my tips & tricks for all things travel and my experiences living abroad in the Middle East.
As a true extroverted introvert & enneagram 6, when I first started to travel, I’d become sliiiightly anxious before an upcoming trip. Did I pack everything? What if I get there and can’t speak the language? What if someone captures me while I’m in Paris and tries to sell my body and my dad- who is not an international spy- has to come and rescue me?!? (Taken, anyone?)
Ohhhh I get stressed just thinking about the stress!!
Fast forward to today, and after many adventures across the world, my travel confidence has skyrocketed and becoming comfortable in an uncomfortable situation has become second nature. Because that’s what traveling is, right?? Throwing yourself into the unknown, on purpose?! It’s scary, it’s stressful, but we do it anyway because it’s worth it.
So why start In Her Suitcase?
I truly believe traveling pushes us out of our comfort zones in the best way possible. Traveling enables us to see, taste, and encounter new and meaningful experiences. It challenges us to adapt and explore new surroundings, engage with different cultures, and embrace adventures as they come. Problem is, we let our fears and hesitations hold us back from encountering these experiences.
My hope for In Her Suitcase is to reduce those fears juuussstttt enough to give you the confidence to take that trip. By using my travel experiences, I’ve created helpful travel guides to make your vacation planning easier, detailed destination information to make navigating your travels less intimidating, and meaningful travel tips & how-tos to help build more confidence in all my fellow adventure seekers.
